2019 ICF WILDWATER CANOEING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – LA SEU D'URGELL

Every other year, Slalom and Downriver meet for the a joint World Championship. When it happens, Downriver, now called Wildwater Canoeing, focus only in the Sprint Competition. But, in La Seu D'Urgell, some things remained the same: Jantex secured its position in Wildwater Canoeing, beeing the most represented paddle brand in the kayak competition.

In the K1 Women's Final, 11 (out of 15) were Jantex users. One of them wasPhénicia Dupras. She was not in the spotlight before the final but she raced flawlessly, always finding the best lines and making no mistakes until the finish. Such great race gave her the first win in K1 Finals and the title of World Champion. In the third position, and Bronze Medal, one of the youngest in the course,Barbora Dimovova, previous Junior World Champion, and a very promising downriver paddler.

If the Single race was for France, Team's had Czech Republic, with Barbora Dimovova,on the highest position of the Podium. France was second with Phénicia Dupras,Mathilde Valdenaireand Lise Vinet. Bronze for Jil-Sophie Eckert andSabine Fuesserfrom Germany.

Jantex had, also, a very strong presence in the K1 Men Final: 9 out of 15. The winner, for the 4thtime in K1 Sprint, was Nejc Znidarcic. But it was not an easy win, actually, Znnidarcic won with a margin of only 0,01 of a second. In his own words, he had the “perfect season” after winning all the International Races of 2019: World Cups, European Championship and World Championship. French Hugues Moretgot the Bronze Medal.

Slovenian domination in the Team Event. They were the favourites and they didn't disappoint. Nejc ZnidarcicAnze UrankarandSimon Ovenwent home with yet another Gold Medal. Silver for France with Hugues Moretand Maxence Barough.

In the C2 Men, Gold Medal for Tony Debray, after the Gold in the Team Event. Gold, also, for Helene Raguenesin C1 Team.
